Dear Parents, Guardians, & School Community,

Today at approximately 10:30 a.m. the Ellenville Central School District was notified by Ellenville Police Department that they were investigating a report of a person walking in the vicinity with a rifle. Out of an abundance of caution, the police requested that all buildings on campus be placed on a lockout while they completed their investigation. Indoor instructional activities continued as scheduled.

After an intensive investigation it was determined that the incident was a good intent call from a concerned citizen and that there was no threat to the School District. At 12:10 p.m. the Ellenville Police Department gave us clearance to lift the lockout and resume normal instructional activities throughout the campus.
