Ellenville Middle School Parent Teacher Conferences have been rescheduled. On November 29th, students will be dismissed at 11:15 AM. Conferences will be from 12 - 2:45 PM and 5 - 7 PM. On November 30th, students will be dismissed at 11:15 AM. Conferences will be from 12 - 2:45 PM. Parents/Guardians please contact teachers to reschedule if you do not hear from them by November 21. Any further questions, please contact the middle school at 647-0126 or 647-0137.

Pre-K and K Open House is set for Wednesday, September 5, beginning at 5:30 in the Music Assembly Room. This is a wonderful opportunity for you and your child to come to the school to meet your child’s teacher and visit the classroom. The evening will consist of some informational sessions for you and your child, along with time in the classroom with your child’s teacher. Bus passes will be handed out by the Pre-K/K teachers and the nurse will be here to answer any questions you may have. If you can bring with you all completed paperwork, it would be greatly appreciated.

The Knights of Columbus Council are sponsoring a Community Blood Drive on Tuesday, June 12 from 3 - 9 PM. The blood drive will be held at St. Mary and St. Andrew Church Hall at 137 South Street in Ellenville, NY. All present to donate will receive a special coupon for % Off Dinners at Aroma Thyme Bistro or Tony & Nick's. There will also be sweepstakes drawings for gift certificates from various other local businesses.

Ellenville PD to offer Naloxone (Narcan) training

The Ellenville Police Department recently became a certified Opiate Overdose program center for the training of the administration and distribution of Naloxone (Nar Can). This agency announces that it will conduct a free training to anyone interested in becoming certified in the administration of Naloxone. The course will be conducted by our New York State trained and certified instructors. The course will take about 90 minutes to complete for those that are interested in taking this program.

The event sponsored is by the My Brother's Keeper Grant and includes workshops and information for parents, games, activities and photo booths for kids and free pizza and soda. Ms. Avery of the Business & Special Education Offices successfully helped 86 families (340 people) receive a Thanksgiving feast, which included: A turkey, potatoes, gravy, stuffing, corn, green beans, cranberry sauce, butter, and pie.

Ellenville High School is proud to announce that two of our 2017 Graduates, Carly Craft and Zachary Alexander, were published in New Voices, New Visions, which is the "Yearly collection of the best writing at the State University of New York, New Paltz Composition Program." Carly and Zachary were enrolled in SUNY New Paltz's Composition I and Composition II (College English) with Mrs. Fagan during the 2016-2017 school year. The students will be honored at a ceremony at SUNY New Paltz in October.

The Ulster County Office of Employment and Training is pleased to announce that they are now accepting applications for their 2017 Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). The Ellenville High School Music Department presented its Autumn Concert the evening of Nov. 9. The event included performances by the Festival Choir, the Symphonic Band, the Women’s Choir, the Jazz Ensemble, and the Chamber Singers, who are conducted by David Trombley and were joined by guest violist Akiko Hosoi.
