UPDATE - November 12, 2019
At 10:02 pm this evening we were notified by the Ellenville Police Department that after a thorough investigation the vehicle in question was located and it was determined that it was not a “luring incident” and there was not threat to students.
The Ellenville Police Department will be providing additional information.

The Ellenville Police Department, in conjunction with the Ellenville Central School District, is currently investigating a report that there was an alleged attempt to lure a child into a vehicle at approximately 3:27 this afternoon in the school parking lot. As this is an ongoing investigation, we are currently referring all inquiries to the Ellenville Police Department at 845-647-4422.
We will be taking extra precaution in conjunction with law enforcement to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

El Departamento de Policía de Ellenville, junto con el Distrito Escolar Central de Ellenville, está investigando un reporte de que hubo un supuesto intento de atraer a un niño a un vehículo, aproximadamente a las 3:27 de esta tarde en el estacionamiento de la escuela. Como se trata de una investigación en curso, actualmente estamos dirigiendo todas las preguntas al Departamento de Policía de Ellenville al 845-647-4422.
