Please be advised that we were notified that an Ellenville Elementary School student has tested positive for COVID-19. We note that due to privacy laws, the District is unable to identify the individual who tested positive.
The student was last in attendance on February 26, 2021. The District is working with the Ulster County Department of Health (UCDOH) to identify all individuals who may have had direct and proximate contact. We are following all of the contact tracing and quarantine guidelines as defined by the UCDOH. As a result of the contact tracing, any individual identified who is considered to have been in close contact with the individual who tested positive will be contacted by the UCDOH and provided further direction.
The District will continue working collaboratively with the UCDOH to ensure the safety of our school community. Further, the District will continue to follow all of our cleaning protocols.
