About The Punk, Rock, + Pop Hour

Launched in July 2020, The Punk, Rock, + Pop Hour is WELV’s strangest programming block. Every Friday, the block airs songs from Strange Notes and Stranger by the Day, the station’s two most underground primetime shows. WELV typically airs one new season of punk-obsessed Strange Notes or pop-focused Stranger by the Day per year during the block’s 9 PM timeslot, both hosted by WELV’s in-house anonymous contributor, the host without a name. The Punk, Rock, + Pop Hour, also presented by the host without a name, occasionally airs new music from the Strange series’ regular artists as well as up-and-coming musicians.
