I hope you’ve had a fantastic summer and are ready for an exciting new school year! 

I am thrilled to welcome all of you—our returning students, new students, and our PreK & Kindergarteners! As we gear up for another amazing year, here are a few tips to help you succeed:

• Attend school every day.

• Get a good night's sleep.

• Eat breakfast every day. Breakfast is served at 8:40 AM at school if you'd like to eat here.

• Read daily to develop a love of reading.

• Share with your parents/guardians what you learned at school each day.

• Do your best each and every day!

• Be an EES CHAMP and earn those CHAMP bucks!

Remember, your principal believes in you and is proud to support you every step of the way!

A few reminders for parents/guardians:

First day of 2024-2025 school year: Thursday, September 5, 2024. 

Arrival: Student arrival time is 8:50 AM. Please do not leave your children outside unattended prior to 8:45 AM, as there will be no one to supervise them. Please bring your child to school on time in order to avoid being marked late and to optimize their learning time. Drop off [and pick up] will occur in the loop. There will be no parking in the main school parking lot.

Chromebooks:  Our PreK-Grade 6 students are on a 2:1 ratio for Chromebooks.  

If you are in need of a Chromebook repair or are new to the District and would like a Chromebook for home, please call the Elementary School office at (845) 647-0113. If your child is in PreK/Kindergarten they will receive their Chromebook at Open House on September 3, 2024.

Dismissal Info: Any changes to your child’s dismissal should be sent to the Elementary Office prior to the first day of school. esoffice@ecs.k12.ny.us 

School Supplies: Please provide a backpack for your child. All other school supplies will be purchased by the district.  Supplies will be distributed to students during the first week of school.
