Ellenville loves Arts in Education Week (September 7-13)! It's a great opportunity to celebrate what we know to be true every day—that creativity and artistic expression are essential parts of learning.
Whether our students are returning to familiar creative spaces or our young students are experiencing Art class for the very first time, every step and brush stroke counts! Art class builds essential fine motor skills while creating pathways of expression for all our learners.
Recently, our Kindergarteners experienced their first Art class with Dawn Mueller, who guided these young artists to start small—dot by dot—building on spots of color using paint sticks. This activity showed that dots, while simple, are anything but basic!
Here's to celebrating creativity, new beginnings, and the artistic journey ahead for all our students!
