On May 12, Jennifer Budd’s and Eda Hanington’s Grade 1 classes at Ellenville Elementary School enjoyed a community walk around Ellenville!
Students visited the post office, the Hunt Memorial Building, Liberty Square, and had a super fun experience at The Common Good Bookstore. Owner Matt welcomed the students to explore the store, ask questions, and even enjoy a “Golden” dance party before they left.
The classes were also lucky to have Helen Tennenbaum as a guest reader, who shared two stories with the students. Fun fact: Mrs. Tennenbaum was once Mrs. Budd’s third grade teacher!
It was a wonderful morning spent learning and connecting right here in our community!
