Congratulations to the 19 new members of the Junior Honor Society (JHS), who were inducted into the organization during a special ceremony on May 6.
During the event, Junior Honor Society Advisor Jade Roth thanked teachers, parents, guardians, and families for their support of the new inductees. "I am honored to be an advisor to this exceptional group of students,” she said.
Ms. Roth spoke about how the students were positive role models, who have taken part in many service projects in the community. She also pointed out that each student had chosen an inspiring quote, which were all hung around the cafeteria where the ceremony took place.
Erika Fierro, assistant principal of the Junior/Senior High School, also addressed the inductees. “You are the foundation of our future, and I look forward to seeing all that you accomplish,” she said.
We congratulate the following inductees for exemplifying the six pillars of the JHS (scholarship, service, leadership, character, citizenship, and knowledge): Emma Beckley, Sullivan Dechon, Samuel Dickman, Helen Escalante, Jack Garrett, Mackenzie Goff, Matthew Henry, Zoe Kalish, Yuni Kim, Sapharrah Maldonado, Julianna Martinez, Mya Martinez, Danielle Pitkin, Giovanni Robles, Makayla Rowe, Mary Soto-Cruz, William Turner, Isabella Velazquez, and Lexie Weronick.
