My Brother's Keeper Fellows

We're proud to announce that two Grade 11 students from Ellenville Junior/Senior High School—Caleb Norat Roldan and Henry Jones— earned prestigious recognition at the New York State (NYS) Education Department's My Brother's Keeper (MBK) Symposium on May 1! Caleb and Henry were inducted into the 2025 cohort of the NYS MBK Fellowship Program, joining an elite group of 100 inductees selected from across the State.

As MBK Fellows, Caleb and Henry will participate in enrichment activities throughout their senior year, including college preparation, mentoring sessions with educational leaders through the Mastermind Reading Series, and community service projects in Ellenville.

This marks the eighth graduating class of MBK Fellows to receive this honor from the NYS Education Department. "They represent the very best of the Ellenville MBK Program, which fosters excellence, resilience, and leadership training," said Frank Mulhern, the District’s Coordinator of Family and Community Engagement Programs.

Both students have been dedicated members of Ellenville's MBK Student Leaders Program since their freshman year. Their achievement was celebrated by fellow MBK Student Leaders Sebastian Ortiz and Nisean Abney, along with District officials including Dr. Eli Espinosa (MBK Club Advisor), Kelly White (Deputy Superintendent), Raymond Younger (Community Liaison), and Nilsary Lewis-Rivera (Town of Wawarsing Recreation Director and My Sister's Keeper Student Leaders Program Coordinator).

The Ellenville MBK program continues to foster young leaders who make a difference in their school and community. Congratulations to Caleb and Henry on this outstanding achievement!
