The Ellenville Central School District Mentorship Program recently wrapped up with a wonderful end-of-year celebration!
The soon-to-graduate Grade 12 mentors and their soon-to-move-up Grade 6 mentees gathered in the Elementary Media Arts Room for a special retrospective. Everyone enjoyed pizza while watching a slideshow highlighting their year together.
“What you’ve learned from your mentors will give back in even more ways as you get older,” said program advisor Briana Mangram, proudly noting that all senior mentors are college-bound!
Erika Fierro, Assistant Principal at the Jr/Sr High School, welcomed the Grade 6 students to their next chapter and expressed hope that they learned valuable skills and strategies "from the best of the best here."
The celebration concluded with everyone heading to the gym for parachute games—where our seniors may have shown even more excitement than our mentees!
We're incredibly proud of this program and the connections made between our students. Go Blue Devils!
