Attention Grade 8 students! Are you the first in your family to attend college? If so, consider applying for the President’s Challenge Scholarship (PCS) at SUNY Ulster!
Selected students will receive a two-year, tuition-free scholarship to SUNY Ulster after high school graduation, along with mentoring and college readiness support throughout high school, campus visits, and access to a network of scholarship recipients across Ulster County.
Program Criteria:
To apply, students must be in Grade 8, be first-generation college students, and have:
An 80% cumulative GPA (75% or higher in core subjects: English, math, science, and social studies)
An 85% or better attendance record
Minimal discipline issues or a strong recommendation from a teacher or school administrator
Preference is given to students with economic need.

Five students from the Grade 8 class will be selected to participate.
