Ellenville Jr/Sr High School will welcome incoming Grade 7 students and their families for Grade 7 Orientation on Wednesday, August 26, from 8-11:30 AM.
The program is designed to help students make a smooth transition to junior high school and give students and their families an opportunity to become familiar with what to expect in Grade 7. Attendees will learn about courses and expectations, meet school staff, ask questions, and participate in activities before the new school year begins.
The morning will begin with a Welcome Rally and breakfast for students and families from 8-8:30 AM. Students will then participate in interactive activity stations, while parents and guardians attend an information session and learn more about academic content from department chairs.
The orientation will conclude with a building tour and locker practice from 10:30-11 AM, followed by Yondr pouch and student ID distribution from 11-11:30 AM.
