Dear Ellenville Families,
As we look ahead to Halloween this Friday, October 30, we want to wish all of our students and families a fun and safe Halloween! Students are welcome to wear costumes to school, provided they follow our safety expectations.
Halloween Safety Reminders
Masks that cover the face or prevent identification are not permitted.
Costumes must be school-appropriate and may not include offensive, threatening, or inappropriate images or language.
Toy weapons, realistic-looking weapons, and other potentially dangerous props are not permitted.
Costumes and accessories must allow students to move safely and participate fully in their classes.
Important BOCES Schedule Updates
Please note the following upcoming BOCES closures:
Friday, October 30: Ulster PM BOCES is closed.
Tuesday, November 3: Ulster BOCES is closed.
Friday, November 6: Sullivan BOCES is closed.
Students in Grades 11 and 12 who attend BOCES are expected to attend Ellenville Jr/Sr High School on these dates for the portions of the day they would normally spend with us.
During the time students would typically attend BOCES, families may provide written permission for their child to be dismissed if the student is a walker. Students without written permission, as well as those who take the bus, must remain in the school library under supervision. Parent pickup is also permitted.
Please submit written permission to the Senior High Main Office by October 29, 2026.
Please ensure that your child understands the plan for each applicable date.
Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping our school community safe, supported, and focused on learning. We appreciate your cooperation!
Warmly,
School Administration
