We are excited to announce that the Ellenville Central School District will be hosting its annual Jr/Sr High School Career Fair on Wednesday, May 14. The event will take place in the Senior High School gymnasium from 9:50 AM-1:45 PM. It is especially targeted towards students in Grades 11 and 12 who are seeking immediate employment and/or exploring career options for the future. Students can stop by during their lunch or class, with teacher permission. Congratulations to Ellenville Grade 7 student Hadley Walsh on qualifying for the Girls Varsity Golf sectional tournament! The first round will be held on May 20 at Apple Greens Golf Course in Highland. Hadley set this goal at the beginning of the season and practiced hard to achieve it. No Grade 7 student qualified for sectionals across any school in Section IX last season! We're proud of Hadley's achievement. Go Blue Devils!
Important Update: Ellenville Central School District’s five-hour pre-licensing course session scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday, May 3), has been cancelled. The next session will be held on Saturday, June 21.

This week, we recognize our Assistant Principals (APs) who work diligently to ensure our students and staff have every support to succeed every day. We applaud our APs for providing the backbone of our school environments and creating safe, positive learning spaces for all students. They're a constant presence in the hallways and keep their doors open, welcoming students who need specific support or just a supportive ear. Our Assistant Principals support teachers with resources, guidance, and encouragement. They tackle difficult challenges with grace, build meaningful relationships throughout our community, manage numerous responsibilities, and help make the Ellenville Central School District a place where all of our Blue Devils thrive. For National Paraprofessional Appreciation Day, we're shining the spotlight on the hardworking Teaching Assistants who make the Ellenville Central School District such a caring, supportive place to learn. Our Teaching Assistants are the learning champions who create magic in our classrooms every day, offering a balance of encouragement and guidance that helps our students reach their potential. As of today, the Ellenville Central School District has three unused emergency closing days. As a result, school will be closed on the following dates: Monday, April 21, 2025; Friday, May 23, 2025; and Tuesday, May 27, 2025. Please note that this schedule is subject to change if any additional emergency closing days are used before May 27.
The Ellenville Central School District would like to share an upcoming opportunity for students who are interested in national service. On Saturday, April 26, from 11 AM to 2 PM, a Service Academy Day is being held at SUNY Orange's Middletown Campus. During the event, which is being hosted by Congressman Pat Ryan’s office, representatives from all U.S. Service Academies will be available to speak with students about programs and admissions processes.
Service academies provide education without tuition in exchange for military service after graduation. Applications for Congressman Ryan's nominations for the Class of 2030 open August 1, 2025, with a deadline of October 31, 2025.
