Three boys at 6th grade moving up ceremony

Ellenville Elementary School Grade 6 students are ready to bid “hello” to their new home at the Junior/Senior High School! During a Moving Up Ceremony on June 16, Grade 6 teachers recognized the students’ successes, presented them with certificates, and handed out a multitude of awards, including ones recognizing academic, athletic, and musical achievements; perfect attendance; personal growth; and citizenship. Elementary School Principal Nicole Ey wished the Blue Devils a future filled with success, joy, and possibilities before she turned the microphone over to Kerri Galloway, assistant principal of the Junior/Senior High School (Grades 7-8), who had the class take an oath by repeating back to her the following words: “Together we can create an environment where everyone feels valued and respected, celebrate differences, embrace the unique. We will work together, we will support one another, and we can achieve remarkable things.”

The students then celebrated with a reception in the cafeteria, where they enjoyed refreshments and were able to snap some photos with their families and friends.

Congratulations to all!
