Students singing

Congratulations to all of the performers who put on an amazing Autumn Concert on November 8 at Ellenville Junior/Senior High School!

The Festival Choir produced powerful renditions of “Cantar” by Jay Althouse, which featured Ren Anderson and Nate Valdez on Latin percussion; “Alway Something Sings” by Dan Forrest; and “Dies Irae” by Michael Trotta.

The Symphonic Band, led by Laurie Worden, showcased their abilities with numbers such as “Mar Y Cielo” by Jorge L. Vargas; “Flight of the Phoenix” by Carl Strommen; and “A Galop to End All Galops” by Warren Barker. Ms. Worden also took the time to recognize Yadiel Roman Martinez (Grade 12, flute), Riley Dechon (Grade 10, trombone), and Jack Henry (Grade 10, euphonium) on their acceptance into the NYSSMA Zone 9 Area All-State Symphonic Band.

All students, dressed beautifully in black, stunned an appreciative audience with their professionalism and great skill. Bravo!
