The Ellenville Central School District understands the value of daily outdoor play for children, and with the cold weather upon us, we want to remind students and their parents/guardians of the importance of dressing appropriately for outdoor recess. Students in Pre-K through Grade 8 will be outside for recess when the weather permits. Temperature, wind chill, precipitation, and the condition of play area surfaces are all factors that are considered throughout the cold weather season when determining recess plans each day. To ensure that your child can play comfortably outdoors on cold days, please send them to school with the appropriate outdoor attire (jackets, gloves/mittens, and hat/ear coverings).
