Letter from supt

Dear Parents/Guardians and Staff,

I am writing to address a matter that has understandably caused concern and uncertainty within our school community. In October 2023, there was an unfounded threat of violence reported that included a possible school shooting on March 14, 2024, which was reported to law enforcement.  The threat was thoroughly investigated and deemed to be unfounded.

Recently, rumors have resurfaced regarding the same threat of violence, which has been reported to law enforcement.  We immediately enacted our threat assessment procedures and after a full investigation, it has been determined that there is no threat.

The safety and well-being of everyone within our school community remain our top priorities. We take any reports or rumors regarding potential threats very seriously, and we have protocols in place to ensure a thorough investigation and response are enacted.

Furthermore, I urge everyone to remain vigilant and report any suspicious behavior or concerns to school authorities or law enforcement immediately. We all play a role in keeping our school community safe, and open communication is essential in ensuring that we can address any potential threats promptly and effectively.

As we move forward from this incident, let us reaffirm our commitment to fostering a culture of safety within our school community.

Sincerely,

Lisa A. Wiles
Superintendent
