Ellenville retirees at June 3 reception

Congratulations to the faculty, administrators, and staff members from the Ellenville Central School District who were honored during a celebratory dinner and reception on June 3. The event recognized this year's tenure recipients, retirees, and employees who achieved "permanent" status as support-related personnel. Additionally, Coach Bryan Bonitz was awarded a plaque to commemorate his 200th softball win.

During the ceremony, presided over by Superintendent Lisa Wiles and Board of Education President Philip Mattracion, Wiles expressed her appreciation for the members of the Board of Education, teaching and maintenance staff, the cafeteria staff who catered the event, the volunteers who helped organize the festivities, and family and friends who were there to celebrate. She told those retiring "we will miss you terribly," while Mattracion thanked them for their service and said of the newly tenured staff, "We look forward to many years of work and relationship and the impact that you will have."

The District awarded tenure to 16 educators and staff members, and permanent status to 12 support and service personnel. In addition, six retirees were honored for their distinguished service to the Ellenville community.
