Grade 6 students celebrate moving up in a special ceremony

Congratulations to our amazing Grade 6 students on their moving up ceremony! As their class shirts proclaimed, "Peace Out Ellenville Elementary. We are moving on up!" Indeed they are, onward and upward to Ellenville Jr/Sr High School!

The special ceremony, held on June 18 in the Jr/Sr High School auditorium, featured inspiring words from Principal Nicole Ey and Assistant Principal Heather Heidelberg, along with a guest message from Jr/Sr High School Assistant Principal Erika Fierro.

Students took the stage to collect awards in multiple categories, including academics, attendance, personal growth, and community leadership. The Grade 6 Band opened the ceremony with a performance, and the Chorus closed it beautifully with "Count on Me" by Bruno Mars, accompanied by a student on ukulele.

It was a meaningful and momentous way to mark this important milestone. To our students: Peace out, enjoy your summer, and we can't wait to see how you continue to grow your talents at the Jr/Sr High School!

Congratulations to all our Ellenville Grade 6 students!
