The Ellenville Central School District is proud to announce this year's Athletic Hall of Fame inductees. The Class of 2025 includes three former Blue Devil athletes and one championship team.
Raymond Younger is a 1994 Ellenville graduate who is being inducted for his excellence in both football and basketball. Younger scored 1,047 career points and led the Blue Devils to the Mid-Hudson Athletic League (MHAL) and Class C Section Championships.
Joining Younger in this year's class is A. Lee Roberts, a 1956 graduate who returned to Ellenville after graduating from Springfield College, where he was an All-America soccer player and led Springfield to the 1958 NCAA Championship. Roberts has coached soccer, basketball, and baseball for Ellenville.
Inductee Desiree Montanez was a 2001 Ellenville graduate and a standout on the Field Hockey team. Montanez was a three-time MHAL All-Star and a two-time All State player for the Blue Devils.
Completing the Class of 2025 is the 1972 Football team, which finished the season with an overall 7-2 record and captured the Ulster County Athletic League Championship. The Blue Devils placed nine players on the league All-Star team.
The seventh annual Athletic Hall of Fame Induction will take place at 11 AM on Saturday, October 11, in the Ellenville Elementary School cafeteria.
