Community members are invited to attend the Rural Schools Issues Forum at the Ellenville Junior/Senior High School auditorium on Wednesday, November 19, from 6-7:30 PM.
This public forum will explore the future of rural schools and communities across New York State. The evening will begin with a briefing on the current state of rural education, followed by an opportunity for attendees to share their perspectives on local and regional challenges impacting rural schools and the communities they serve.
Featured presenters include David Little, Executive Director of the Rural Schools Association (RSA) of New York State, and Jonah Schenker, District Superintendent of Ulster BOCES. Discussion topics will include regionalization, workforce development in the Hudson Valley, and Portrait of a Graduate initiatives.
This forum is part of a statewide series taking place across New York, with the Ellenville event being one of twelve scheduled throughout the fall.
Community members are also invited to share their thoughts in advance and read what others have to say at RSA's Digital Thought Exchange. Visit https://bit.ly/ruralforum to participate.
