Group of retirees

The Ellenville Central School District (ECSD) celebrated teachers and staff members who reached important career milestones on June 2 at a dinner event in the Ellenville Junior/Senior High School cafeteria. The District awarded tenure to seven educators and staff members and granted permanent status to six support and service personnel. In addition, 14 retirees were honored for their distinguished service to the Ellenville community.

Following a delicious meal catered by the cafeteria staff, support personnel who achieved permanent status and this year's tenure recipients were recognized by Superintendent Lisa Wiles and Board of Education President Philip Mattracion in front of family, friends, and colleagues. District employees retiring during the 2025-2026 school year were presented with elegant clocks featuring the years they began and concluded their service to the ECSD. Superintendent Wiles joked that the clocks even include a wake-up alarm feature in case any retirees decide to return to work.
