Work continues to move forward on the Ellenville Central School District's new turf field as part of the District's 2024 Capital Project, with several key phases of construction now completed.

Over the past several weeks, crews have made steady progress on site preparation and grading, successfully establishing a stable foundation for the next stages of the project. With these critical preliminary steps complete, construction has advanced to the installation of the drainage system and base materials that will support the new playing surface.

The new turf field is designed to provide a modern, durable, and high-quality athletic facility that will benefit students, athletes, and the broader community for years to come. In addition to enhancing opportunities for physical education and athletic programs, the field will offer a reliable surface capable of withstanding frequent use and a variety of weather conditions.

School Business Administrator Sue Schwall says she is pleased with the progress made to date and reports that the project remains on schedule. Construction activities will continue throughout the coming months as crews work toward the completion of this exciting addition to the District's facilities.
