Dear Ellenville Staff & Families,
Today, we became aware of a threat of violence made by an Ellenville Central School District student toward specific students and the school. As soon as the District learned of the threat, the established safety protocols were put in place and law enforcement was notified. The parents of the students specifically named were also alerted.
The safety of our students and staff is always among our highest priorities, and all threats are taken seriously and investigated in accordance with ECSD policies and procedures. Based on the findings of this investigation, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken as outlined in the District Code of Conduct.
Working together as a school community is an important part of maintaining a safe, supportive, and welcoming learning environment, and we encourage all students and staff to immediately report any concerning statements, behavior, or information to a trusted adult or school administrator.
