Holiday Assistance Programs

The Ellenville Central School District is once again partnering with People’s Place and the Ellenville Methodist Church to help support local families during the upcoming holiday season.

Families who need additional assistance this November and December are encouraged to register for three programs: Talkin’ Turkey, Project Santa, and Bag Holiday Hunger.

Registration is required and must be completed by Friday, November 6, 2026. This is a strict deadline, and no exceptions can be made.

Families can register by completing the online form.

The form must be filled out completely and accurately, including each child's full name, date of birth, and gender. Incomplete or incorrect information will result in an unsuccessful registration.

Available Holiday Assistance Programs

Talkin’ Turkey (Thanksgiving Basket):

Provides families with a holiday meal, including a turkey and side dishes. Baskets will be available for pickup on Monday, November 23, from 12-6:30 PM at the United Methodist Church, located at 83 Canal Street in Ellenville.

Project Santa:

Provides an age-appropriate toy, game, or craft; a winter weather item; books; and stocking stuffers for each registered child age 16 and under. Families will receive pickup information through an automated phone call.

Bag Holiday Hunger:

Provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks for the week students are out of school during the holiday break. This program is available to any District student who registers.

Families are reminded that they may register with only one participating organization for holiday assistance. Please review the accompanying list of organizations before completing the registration form.

The District is grateful to its community partners for helping make the holiday season a little brighter for Ellenville families.
