
Congratulations to Ellenville flute player Yadiel Roman-Martinez for being accepted into and participating in the New York State Honor Band Symposium, which was sponsored by the New York State Band Directors Association. The symposium took place from March 1-3, at the Hilton DoubleTree Hotel in East Syracuse. Yadiel was one of 20 flute players from across the State to be selected for this ensemble. Yadiel performed beautifully and represented Ellenville well!



Ellenville Junior/Senior High School will be offering after-school review classes to provide additional support to prepare Grade 7 and 8 students for the New York State ELA and Math assessments. Students are invited to attend after-school review classes as outlined below (snacks will be provided!). Reminder: Parent/Teacher Conferences will taking place at the Junior/Senior High School on Thursday, March 7, from 5-7 PM; and on Friday, March 8, from 12:30-2 PM. As a result, Junior/Senior High School students will be dismissed at 11:15 AM on Friday, March 8.

Exciting news! Mya Chevannes, an Ellenville Junior/Senior High School student who attends the Ulster BOCES Career & Technical Center in Port Ewen, was among the 35 young professionals who earned medals during the 2024 SkillsUSA Regional Competition held earlier this month. The event, which took place in Goshen on February 10, consisted of timed trade, leadership, and community service contests that gave participants from all across the area the opportunity to showcase their knowledge and skills in 38 different work-based categories.

Last week, 2023 Ellenville graduate Amelia Benjamin reached new heights competing at the college level for the University at Albany's Track Program. At the American East Conference Championship in Boston, Amelia won the Conference Championship in the High Jump. Her jump of 5’10.75” not only clinched the championship but also set a new program record for the college. She was also named "Most Outstanding Rookie" out of all of the female competitors in the Conference, and her team won the Overall Team Conference Championship. Way to go, Amelia!


Due to a scheduling conflict with our Boys Varsity Basketball team competing in the Section 9 semi-final game at Ellenville Jr/Sr High School, the following changes will take place: the Districtwide Band Concert scheduled for Tuesday, February 27, has been moved to Wednesday, February 28, at 7 PM.

The Ellenville Senior High School Drama Club will present “High School Musical” on March 15 and 16, at 7 PM in the Junior/Senior High School auditorium. Tickets are $6 each and will be sold at the door. Get ready for some fun!
