
We are pleased to share that thanks to the Community Eligibility Provision, all of our students will continue to receive free meals, regardless of family income, during the 2024-2025 school year. This means that all students who are enrolled in the Ellenville Central School District are eligible to receive one healthy breakfast and one healthy lunch at no charge each day that school is in session. No further action is required!

The ECSD is pleased to announce that it will once again be purchasing school supplies for students in PreK through Grade 12 for the 2024-2025 school year. All students will be provided with essential classroom supplies including notebooks, pencils, folders, and more. As of now, students will only need to supply backpacks for the upcoming school year.

All students who plan on playing on the Varsity Football team this year should be aware that registration will open on Friday, July 19. Registration for all other Varsity and Junior Varsity Fall sports, including Volleyball, Field Hockey, Soccer, Cross Country, Boys Golf, and Girls Tennis, will open on Friday, July 26. Registration for Modified Fall sports, including Volleyball, Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer, Football, and Field Hockey, will open on Monday, August 5. Ellenville students in Grade 7 and 8 who are looking to get a “JUMP” on their English and Math skills this summer are encouraged to participate in Jumpstart sessions that will be offered at the Junior/Senior High School in August. New York State is launching Summer EBT, a new program that provides low-income families with food benefits to help buy groceries during the summer when kids might not have access to school meals. Parents/guardians of Ellenville's school-aged children will be eligible to receive a free bag of breakfast and lunch food items once a week this summer through the People's Place "Bag Summer Hunger" program. Bags can be picked up at the United Methodist Church, which is located at 83 Canal Street in Ellenville, from 9-10:30 AM on Tuesdays, starting on July 2 and continuing until August 27. Bags will contain a variety of the following: cereal, instant oatmeal, pancake mix, peanut butter, jelly, meats, cheese, pasta, bread, fresh or canned fruit, fresh vegetables, snacks, juice, and a milk card. (Bag items will change weekly.) Registration is required to participate in the program. Forms can be picked up from (and returned to) Denise Avery in the Ellenville Central School District Business Office, which is located at 28 Maple Avenue in Ellenville. Ellenville's Dina Stewart and Skyler Davis were honored during the Mid-Hudson Athletic League's 26th annual Senior Scholar-Athlete Celebration, which took place in Kingston on June 10. We are so proud of these two students, and all that they've accomplished!


Congratulations to the performers at the Ellenville Senior High School 2024 Honors Recital Night, which took place on the evening of June 5. The performance featured the following Ellenville musicians: Ren Anderson on timpani, Riley Dechon on trombone, Jack Henry on euphonium, Josh Laverdure on vocals, Yadiel Roman-Martinez on flute, and Stephanie Santamaria on flute. Thank you, all, for a beautiful night of music!

IMPORTANT REMINDER: The Algebra I Regents exam will be administered to Ellenville students who are currently enrolled in Algebra I or retaking the Algebra Regents on Tuesday, June 4, at 8 AM. Therefore, there will be NO instructional classes for students in Grades 7-12 tomorrow.

We've already shared the news that the Ellenville Boys Track and Field team earned the Section IX Class C Champion title, but we're thrilled to announce that we also have some individual champions in our midst! Let's hear it for Crystian Zelinsky, who was named Section IX Champion for triple jump; Jason Kinscy, who was the Section IX Champion for the 200 meter dash; and Duvaun Douglas, who was the Section IX Champion in high jump. In addition, the team of Henry Jones, Pedro Bonachea, Kwaku Boahen, and Jason Kinscy was named Section IX Champions in the 4x100 meter relay. We're so proud of these hardworking #BlueDevil athletes!

Reminder: The Ellenville Central School District will be closed on Monday, May 27, in honor of Memorial Day. In addition, Thursday, May 23; Friday, May 24; and Tuesday, May 28, are snow day "give back" days and school will not be in session. We will see everyone back on Wednesday, May 29.

REMINDER: The Ellenville community is encouraged to participate in the school budget vote and Board of Education election TODAY (May 21) from 8 AM to 8 PM, at the Ellenville Senior High School Media Center.
