
Reminder: The Ellenville Central School District will be closed on Monday, May 26, in honor of Memorial Day. In addition, Friday, May 23, and Tuesday, May 27, are snow day "give-back" days, and school will not be in session. We will see everyone back on Wednesday, May 28.

Thank you to everyone who participated in the annual school budget vote and Board of Education election on May 20. The budget proposal passed by a vote of 252 to 109, and Jody Little, Rev. Julius Collins, and Daniel McQuillan were elected to the school board. We appreciate the community's support!

Polls will be open from 8 AM to 8 PM, with ample parking available. There will be a special meeting of the Board of Education on Tuesday, June 3, 2025 in the Superintendent’s Office, 28 Maple Avenue, Ellenville, NY 12428, immediately following the Tenure Reception. It is anticipated that a motion for an executive session may be introduced at the start of the open meeting for the purpose of meeting with counsel to secure legal advice about pending litigation. No public discussions will be held and the matter will be closed at the end of executive session.

Ellenville is proud to celebrate Speech Pathologist Day, which was nationally recognized yesterday (May 18). Our dedicated speech-language pathologists support our students daily to make sure they have all the support they need to communicate and express themselves, finding success in school and in their daily lives. Reminder: Ellenville Elementary School Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place on Monday, April 28. As a result, Elementary School students will have a half-day, dismissing at 12:15 PM.

Today, April 22, is National School Bus Driver Appreciation Day, and we’d like to celebrate the incredible team responsible for transporting our students safely to and from school each day!
These dedicated professionals create a positive start to each student’s day, and maintain order and safety on their buses in all weather conditions. They look out for our students’ well-being beyond just the ride, and complete extensive training and safety certifications to keep our children protected.
Thank you to these amazing bus drivers for your unwavering commitment to student safety and for being such an important part of our school community!

Due to a statewide issue with the NYS Assessment platform, students in Grades 3-6 were unable to take the Computer-Based English Language Arts assessment today. Testing will be rescheduled for Wednesday, April 9, and Thursday, April 10. Thank you for your patience.

This week, we recognize our Assistant Principals (APs) who work diligently to ensure our students and staff have every support to succeed every day. We applaud our APs for providing the backbone of our school environments and creating safe, positive learning spaces for all students. They're a constant presence in the hallways and keep their doors open, welcoming students who need specific support or just a supportive ear. Our Assistant Principals support teachers with resources, guidance, and encouragement. They tackle difficult challenges with grace, build meaningful relationships throughout our community, manage numerous responsibilities, and help make the Ellenville Central School District a place where all of our Blue Devils thrive. We thank our dedicated Assistant Principals for their leadership, commitment, and steadfast support of our school community!

The Ellenville Central School District celebrates National School Librarian Day today, April 4! Trying to pin down a proper tribute to encompass our librarians' contributions is tough…because what don't they do?
From storytime sessions that transport our youngest students to magical worlds, to guiding our older learners through complex research projects, our librarians ignite imagination while building essential skills. They provide a safe, comforting space for all students, whether they're coming to study or explore a new book.
