Attention, Ellenville families: All public schools in Ulster County will release students approximately 15 minutes early on Thursday, November 6. Students will be sent home early on this day as part of an annual drill that tests the evacuation procedures of each district’s Emergency Management/Disaster Preparedness Plan. The Commissioner of Education has mandated that this drill be conducted annually in all New York State public schools. Please make appropriate arrangements for the early arrival of your children that afternoon.

PARADE DETAILS: Students in Grades PreK-2 will march in the parade, while students in Grades 3-6 will view the parade. The parade will march through the building, exit near the flagpole, and continue down the front sidewalk to the Kindergarten wing.
PARENT VIEWING: Viewing areas include the bus lane and loop. If you plan to drive to the school, please park in the visitor lot or back school parking lot (next to the playground). Please keep sidewalks clear for our parade marchers!
COSTUME REMINDERS: No full face masks or weapons. Dress code guidelines from the code of conduct still apply. Please check with your child's teacher for classroom-specific costume rules.
WEATHER NOTE: In the event of inclement weather, the parade will be held indoors. Unfortunately, due to safety and space constraints, parents will be unable to view the parade if it is moved indoors.

Join us! The Ellenville Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is excited to host its Welcome Back Meeting on Wednesday, September 17, from 6-7 PM, in the Elementary School Library. The PTO is a volunteer-run group of parents, teachers, staff, and community members working together to enrich students’ experiences, support educators, and build a strong school community. Meetings will be held on the third Wednesday of every month throughout the school year. Come hear school updates, share your ideas, and connect with other parents and staff. Childcare will be available, so bring the kids and join us!

Students of all grade levels are welcome! Hundreds of backpacks filled with school supplies and personal items will be distributed. There will also be a DJ, snacks, and representatives from educational support organizations and school clubs. We hope to see you there!

The Ellenville Central School District is pleased to announce that it will once again purchase school supplies for all students in Pre-K through Grade 12 for the 2025–2026 school year. Each student will receive essential classroom items, including notebooks, pencils, folders, and more. Students will only need to provide their own backpacks.

Reminder: The Ellenville Central School District will be closed on Monday, May 26, in honor of Memorial Day. In addition, Friday, May 23, and Tuesday, May 27, are snow day "give-back" days, and school will not be in session. We will see everyone back on Wednesday, May 28.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the annual school budget vote and Board of Education election on May 20. The budget proposal passed by a vote of 252 to 109, and Jody Little, Rev. Julius Collins, and Daniel McQuillan were elected to the school board. We appreciate the community's support!
