Showing up matters! Did you know? Missing just two days of school per month means missing 10 percent of the school year. Ellenville is making great strides in attendance—let's keep building on this success in 2025! Every school day counts toward your child's future. Together, we can make attendance a priority.

Our Ellenville Elementary School families received a wonderful holiday surprise thanks to the generosity of the Ellenville Police Benevolent Association (PBA) and Northeast Off Road Adventures, Inc! These caring community partners donated food and toys that will be distributed to families throughout our District. A special thank you to School Resource Officer Felicia Torres, who has worked with these organizations for years to help support our Ellenville families. We're grateful to have such dedicated community partners who help make the holiday season brighter for our families!

Thank you everyone who participated in the Capital Project vote. The proposition was approved with 426 in favor and 324 opposed. The Board of Education and administration are so grateful for your support.

Your feedback is invaluable to the Board of Education in helping to understand the community’s views and priorities on the Capital Project. Voters will find an Exit Survey at the polls today (December 3). The survey will be available on paper and as an electronic version. Please take a few minutes to complete this anonymous survey to help us make decisions that reflect your priorities. Polls will be open today from 8 AM to 8 PM at the Jr/Sr High School Media Center. Please come out and vote!

All public schools in Ulster County (including Ellenville) will release students approximately 15 minutes early on Thursday, November 7. Students will be sent home early on this day as part of an annual drill that tests the evacuation procedures of each district’s Emergency Management/Disaster Preparedness Plan. The Commissioner of Education has mandated that this drill be conducted annually in all New York State public schools. Please make appropriate arrangements for the early arrival of your children that afternoon.

School Resource Officer Felicia Torres paid a special visit to Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten classes at Ellenville Elementary School last week to read "Gustavo, the Shy Ghost" by Flavia Z.
