Congratulations to Lyla Denman and Scott Ramos on being selected as Ellenville Jr/Sr High School's 2026 Mid-Hudson Athletic League (MHAL) Scholar-Athletes!
This honor is awarded to two students from each school in the league who demonstrate excellence both academically and athletically. Lyla and Scott were recognized at the MHAL Scholar-Athlete Breakfast on May 28, where they received their awards alongside family members, coaches, and school administrators.

Ellenville Jr/Sr High School is proud to announce that Lyla Denman earned an “Exceeds” on her Writing and Rhetoric (ENG 170) portfolio through the SUNY New Paltz Writing and Rhetoric Program. This distinction means she surpassed the rigorous expectations of the program by demonstrating a sophisticated command of style, pursuing original and unexpected lines of inquiry, and utilizing sources that extend beyond surface-level commentary and analysis.
The Ellenville Senior High School Music Department traveled to Massachusetts on May 15 to participate in the annual Music in the Parks Festival. The Festival Choir and Symphonic Band both earned Superior ratings. It was a day enjoyed by all. Bravo on a great performance!
Great news! Ellenville’s Hadley Walsh has qualified for the New York State Girls Golf Championships!
Hadley shot an 89 on May 26 for a two-day total of 183, moving her into 8th place overall. Eighth place secured her spot as one of nine golfers representing Section IX at the New York State Championships at Wild Wood Country Club in Rush, New York.

Ellenville Central School District parents and guardians should be advised that there has been a change to our school calendar. Wednesday, March 18, will now be a full-day Superintendent’s Conference Day. There will be no school for students on this day. Should you have any questions, please contact the main office of your child’s school. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
Due to scheduling issues, the PTO meeting scheduled for this evening (January 21) has been canceled. The group will meet again in February to discuss fundraisers. You can join them on February 12 for their Stuff a Stuffy event. Flyers were sent home in students’ backpacks.
