The Hudson Valley Flute Ensemble performed in Ellenville on December 10, and was joined on a piece by student flutists from a number of local school districts, including Ellenville. We are so proud of these talented student-musicians!

The Ellenville school cafeterias will be offering an exciting Farm-to-School menu this week! On Thursday, December 7, the food services crew will be serving up venison stew, made with venison from Highland Farm in Germantown, New York.
Did you know that venison is a red meat that is high in protein and has lots of vitamins and minerals? This venison was not hunted but rather raised at Highland Farm. (You can find Highland Farm at the Kingston Farmer’s Market every Saturday!)
To go with the stew, there will be Milestone Mill’s tortilla chips, made using local corn from the Hudson Valley Farm Hub. To finish off the meal, beet brownies with beets from Dagele Brothers Farm in Goshen and whipped cream from Clark’s Farm Creamery in Delhi will be served.
Students, be sure to join us in the cafeteria for a taste!

Mark your calendars! The Ellenville Junior High School Winter Concert (featuring performers from Grades 7 and 8), will take place in the school auditorium on Tuesday, December 5, at 7 PM.

The Ellenville Central School District will be offering the 5-Hour Pre-Licensing Course on the following dates: January 13, February 3, March 2, April 20, May 25, and June 8. For more information, including how to register, call (845) 647-0123.

The Ellenville Central School District would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our families a very Happy Thanksgiving!

On November 21, members of the Ellenville Junior/Senior High School Student Support team, along with Assistant Principal Michael Regan, went throughout the school handing out lollipops of gratitude to students, faculty, and staff. The lollipops included messages such as "We are grateful for you!" and "Keep believing in yourself!" The small gifts were proof that there is an attitude of gratitude in Ellenville!

Recently, Ellenville students and families enjoyed another free community workshop, this one titled “Practicing Mindfulness.” Held in the Junior/Senior High School Media Center on November 16, this relaxing workshop gave participants the opportunity to slow their minds and get creative—by painting! Under the direction of Olivia Ingalsbe of the Ellenville Rural Health Network, parents and children spent a peaceful hour creating fun free-style canvas paintings together, and had a great keepsake to remember this valuable family time. Take a look at their works and be sure to watch out for information about our next community workshop!

Congratulations to Ellenville Grade 11 student Riley Dechon, who plays the trombone; Grade 10 student Jack Henry, who plays the euphonium; and Grade 12 student Yadiel Roman-Martinez, who plays the flute. These three students performed beautifully in the 2023 Area All-State Symphonic Band at Wallkill High School on November 18.

This is a reminder that the Ellenville Central School District will be closed from Wednesday, November 22, through Friday, November 24 for the Thanksgiving holiday. We would like to wish all of our families a very happy holiday!
